Tools to Help You Launch, Grow or Scale Your Biz
*Disclaimers: all opinions are my own, sponsors are acknowledged. Links for tools & resources are typically affiliate links that let you help support me at no extra cost.
Graphic Design Software*
Canva helps people with no prior design experience create stunning graphics online absolutely free. Everything from IG posts to PowerPoint presentations, Canva is my go to tool. As a Canva Certified Creative I also get to provide feedback on the app and test features before they are publicly released.
Online Quiz Creator*
Did you know you can create an online quiz like the ones you see on Facebook to capture leads? I was absolutely blown away from a friend told me about Interact because it truly makes growing your list fun. My biz bestie wrote a great post for them called 50 Quiz Questions You Should Be Using which you can read here.
Social Media Calendar + Stock*
Alicia is AMAZING. I have no idea how she does it but she pumps out so much content. Diverse stock photos, custom Canva templates, and a social media calendar that will eliminate any stress you’ve been having about posting to IG. Join her email list to get 25 FREE stock images + a monthly Canva template.
Screen Recording Software*
I use Screencastomatic almost daily. It’s how I record my screen for my YouTube videos and it’s the software I use to create video tutorials for my Squarespace clients. If you find yourself needing to answer a question for a client that would really be best answered showing a screen, this software is cheap but robust.
Email Marketing Software*
Most email marketing companies charge you based on the size of your list. So the more you grow, the more they take. Not Flodesk. Plus their emails look beautiful. Try Flodesk FREE for 30 Days & save 50% your first year using my code LASHONDAMBROWN.
Online Scheduling Software*
I used to think I needed an assistant but what I really needed was a system for booking appointments. I use Acuity to help me schedule everything from virtual coffee dates to strategy sessions. I have it embedded on a non-linked page of my website that makes it easy for me to text the link to my calendar.
Marketplace for Templates*
I use Creative Market to sell my stock photos but I also subscribe to their mailing list so each Monday I get a reminder about their 6 Free Goods. Creatives in the marketplace share their designs in hopes of increasing traffic to their pages and the free goods range anywhere from fonts to website templates.
Digital Product Sales Tool*
Payhip is the software I use to deliver my Bootstrap Guides and I LOVE IT! It’s so easy to navigate and they don’t charge you for their base level. They simply take a small percentage of your sales and the rest of the money is deposited into your Stripe account. If you sell ebooks, this is a great option for file delivery.
Client Management Software*
HoneyBook was created to help small businesses manage projects, book clients, send invoices, and get paid all in the same program. Everything your business needs to get it done. Click the button below to start your free trial + receive 50% off your first year with HoneyBook.
Product Mockup Software*
Smartmockups is an incredible new company that helps entrepreneurs create mockup images without Photoshop. Design freebies in Canva and just drop in the project link into Smartmockups to elevate your graphics. You can even place your designs on t-shirts for incredible and affordable shop photos.
Squarespace Membership Plugin*
So many of my clients depend on Memberspace to turn their Squarespace site into a membership site. Use Memberspace to host your group coaching program or simply hide content on your site behind a paywall. Your clients would have their own login and they won’t need to leave your site to sign in.
Squarespace Plugins Library*
SQSP Themes is the tool I used to create a Blog Sidebar for my Bootstrap Blog. I LOVE this site because they have taken third-party Squarespace templates in one searchable location. So if you’re not thrilled by the templates available on Squarespace or you’d like to add a new feature, check out SQSP Themes.
